Montoya Condemns Antisemitism in New Mailer

“School board candidate Rita Montoya, who is running for an at-large seat and has been endorsed by the teachers, has sent out a mailer condemning antisemitism and vowing to “implement mandatory Holocaust education in our schools.” Antisemitism is a huge issue in MCPS as former Town of Chevy Chase Council Member Joel Rubin guest-wrote here last year and is the subject of a federal complaint filed by a national Jewish group.”

Montgomery County Board of Education Forum 09.12.2024
Last month, Greater Capital Area Association of REALTORS (GCAAR) held a Montgomery County Board of Education Candidate Forum. The event featured Rita Montoya & Lynne Harris (At-Large candidates); Brenda Diaz (District 2 candidate); and Shebra Evans & Laura Stewart (District 4 candidates). Natalie Zimmerman (District 2 candidate) was unavailable as she was teaching her MCPS elementary class.

Voter Education forum on 2024 Candidate for MCPS Board of Education 10.15.2024
On October 14, 2024, Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, the Montgomery County Black Collective and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority co-hosted a Board of Education Candidate Forum. All Board of Education candidates attended the forum.
